With Superior I ratings awarded to both concert band and concert choir, Orion High School’s music department has earned a Top 10 ranking among schools its size in the state of Illinois.
Orion freshman Abby DeBaillie has booked her first trip to the Illinois High School Association's state track meet.
At the Farmington sectionals on Friday, May 11, DeBaillie finished second in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 17.06 seconds. She was only nine-hundredths of a second behind the sectional champion, sophomore Devin Hasson of Rockridge.
As an eighth grader in 2011, DeBaillie won the 100 hurdles in 15.98 seconds at the Illinois Elementary School Association state meet.
