Richmond Hill Players’ next play is the Fred Carmichael family-
friendly comedy, “More Than Meets the Eye.”
The show will be presented Thursdays through Sundays, Thursday, July 5, through Friday, July 15, at the Barn Theater in Geneseo.
Joe DePauw, Geneseo, directs the show.
Stanley Nichols is a successful writer of children’s stories under the pen name of “Grandma Letty.” When he is voted “Grandmother of the Year,” his house is suddenly besieged by reporters and photographers.
Afraid that exposure as a juvenile fiction author will jeopardize the chances of his serious new novel, Stanley has to produce a Grandma. After all else fails, he impersonates the lady.
The cast features Alex Klimkewicz, Kewanee; Molly McLaughlin and Valeree Pieper, both of Moline; Eric Hamer and Mallory Park, both of Atkinson; Jan Andersen and Eric Noyd, both of Geneseo; Terri Nelson of Lynn Center; Angie Keeney, Blue Grass and Wayne Hess and Jim Strauss, all of Davenport.
The staff includes stage manager Dru Clementz, tech director Jennifer Kingry, and light and sound operator Mike Skiles, all of Geneseo; and costumer Jean Melillo of Atkinson.
Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays the doors open at 6:30 p.m. with the show beginning at 7:30 pm. Sundays are 3 p.m. matinees with the doors opening at 2 p.m. (please note new matinee time on Sundays.) Reservations are strongly recommended and can be made by calling the Richmond Hill box office at 944-2244 or by visiting their website at www.rhplayers.com.
