Senior parent shirts

Senior parent T-shirts and sweatshirts will be delivered at the tailgate party and fall sports preview on Friday, Aug. 20, at Charger Field. The shirt is black with “Senior Parent 2011” in red letters, as well as a gray knight’s helmet with a red feather. Names may be added to the back for an additional fee. For an order form, call Stacy DePorter at (309) 781-6558.

‘To Save a Life’ for teens

The Orion churches’ youth leaders have teamed together to offer showings of the movie “To Save a Life.” It deals with many issues teens face today and helps give them the courage and determination to persevere against all odds. All youth in sixth grade and higher are encouraged to attend the showings at 7 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 22, or Saturday, Aug. 28, in The Ark at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Orion.

‘To Save a Life’ parent preview

To help parents understand the importance of having their teen see the movie “To Save a Life,” youth leaders of Orion churches are offering a preview  of the movie to parents at 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 19, in The Ark at St. Paul. All parents of teenagers in the Orion community are encouraged to come.  

PTA meeting

Orion PTA will hold its first meeting of the new school year at 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 9, at C.R. Hanna Elementary School, Orion. Babysitting will be provided.
