ORION—Main Street Orion's very first double feature will be on Friday, Aug. 13, in Central Park, Orion.

ORION—Tickets are on sale now for the Elvi-Beetle Tribute Tour on Saturday, July 31, at the band shell in Central Park. This tour is the first to bring together tributes to Elvis and the Beatles, according to Elvis impersonator Al Hull.
ORION—Orion FFA students competed at the annual Section 3 FFA Vo-Ag Fair. The horse show took place Thursday, July 1, at Black Hawk College, Kewanee, with the help of Aaron Callahan and Drew Cotton, the equine science staff members at BHE. On Friday, July 2, the Vo-Ag Fair was held at the Henry County fairgrounds, Cambridge, with help from Fair Board member Jake Young.
ANDOVER—Aprons are more than something Mom or Grandma wore to protect her clothing while she cooked. During her lifetime, Karen Anderson of Lynn Center collected hundreds of them. She drove as far as Omaha, Neb., to display them for audiences.

ORION—Jennifer Coe, 20, has been involved in Venture Crew for around 10 years now. She’s always loved the outdoors and has a passion for camping and exploring. Recently the Orion High School graduate received the Silver Award, the equivalent of the Eagle Scout Award in Boy Scouts.
ORION—Luna Bonita Dance, a belly dancing troupe founded in 2007, will perform at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, July 17, at the band shell in Central Park, Orion. At 7:30 p.m., the Orion Community Band will take the stage. When dusk falls, “Road to Morocco” will be screened. In the event of rain, the activities will be moved to Orion United Methodist Church.
ORION—TLC Preschool hosted Keep On Truckin' on Saturday, July 3, in the parking lot at Orion Middle School.

OSCO—On Sunday, July 4, Osco Community Church dedicated a memorial to men and women who have served in the military. The dedication was part of Praise in the Park, a worship service Sunday morning in Hand Park, Cambridge.

ORION—Kelly Hutton and James Matson are the 2010 recipients of the Stephanie Jones Memorial Award. The award is conferred upon two seniors, one girl and one boy, who live life to the fullest, always find time to laugh, and love everybody.
