Mary Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, Orion, will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the dedication of its building on Saturday, July 17.

The celebration of Mass will begin at 5:30 p.m. with Monsignor Paul Showalter, the diocesan Vicar General, as celebrant and homilist. Mary Our Lady’s pastor, Jim DeBisschop, and former pastor, Michael Schaab, will assist.

After worship, a potluck dinner will be served. An anniversary cake will be shared during a time of remembering.

A DVD presentation will highlight the history of the Catholic community in Orion during the last 50 years.

All former parishioners are invited to come.
