n The board will hold its board retreat on April 30 at 6 p.m. at the Junior-Senior High School library.

n The school calendar was passed for the 2018-19 school year.

n The board unanimously agreed to review the applicant pool after several administrators recently attended an area job fair. Elementary school principal Mary Kelly said she has several interviews scheduled with applicants from the job fair.

Superintendent Doug O'Riley said the job fair was a "good experience."

n It was noted that 50 percent of high school students are involved in sports and 86 students are involved in FFA.

n The board also approved to continue the Mid-County football co-op with ROWVA and Williamsfield for the 2018 and 2019 seasons.

The first football game of the 2018 season will be played in ROWVA this fall, and then the next four in Galva. All the games were played at ROWVA last year due to construction on Galva’s outdoor athletic complex.
