PRAIRIE CITY — A Prairie City resident was injured Friday evening during a roll-over accident near Prairie City.
According to a McDonough County Sheriff’s Office traffic report, Tammy Garrett, 37, of Prairie City was southbound on Highway 41 at 5:39 p.m. when she turned to look at something in the car. When she turned around, the car she had been following had stopped to turn left onto Highway 9. Garrett went to the right into the ditch and over-corrected. The 2012 Ford Escape overturned in the roadway. Garrett and one of her passengers signed refusal of service forms at the scene. One passenger was transported to McDonough District Hospital for injuries. Garrett’s passengers are listed as Joseph Garrett, 33, and Caleb Vannoy, 22, both of Prairie City.
The report indicates no citation was issued.
The sheriff’s office was assisted by Bushnell Police Department, Bushnell Rescue and Life Guard Ambulance.
