Augustana Lutheran Church, Andover, has a new pastor.

Coming from the Milwaukee suburb of Wauwatosa, Wis., Jan Veseth began moving into the parsonage on Tuesday, March 2. She will begin her duties on March 15, with her first sermon on March 21.

She has a daughter, Nora, who will be a sophomore at Orion High School.

Veseth was a cardiac nurse before becoming a pastor. Augustana will be her first parish. She is to be ordained at the Northern Illinois Synod assembly this June at Augustana College, Rock Island.

The Rev. Lynn Bergren retired in August 2008, and the Rev. Al Beck has served as interim pastor since then.
