Wilma R. Lindstrom, 90, of Cambridge, formerly of Andover, died Sunday, May 9, 2010, in her apartment at Woodridge Supportive Living Facility, Geneseo.
Funeral services were held Thursday, May 13, at the Cambridge Chapel of Stackhouse-Moore Funeral Services. The Rev. Jan Veseth officiated. Burial was in Rosedale Cemetery, Cambridge. Visitation was Wednesday, May 12, at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the Augustana Lutheran Church, Andover, or the Henry County Humane Society.
The former Wilma Phillips was born Feb. 24, 1920, in Woodhull, the daughter of William and Gertie (Samuelson) Phillips. She attended schools in Orion. She married Ivan Lindstrom July 28, 1938, in Davenport. He died July 11, 1999.
She worked in area restaurants and she and her husband did custodial work.
She was a member of the Augustana Lutheran Church, the Andover American Legion Auxiliary Unit 465, and the Andover Senior Citizens.
She enjoyed flowers, working in her yard and her dogs.
Survivors include a son and spouse, Dennis and Madeline Lindstrom of Kewanee; a daughter-in-law, Janet Lindstrom of Silvis; four grandsons and spouses, Daniel Lindstrom, Donald Lindstrom and Jackie Floming, Thad and Judy Lindstrom, and Todd and Melissa Lindstrom; a granddaughter, Wendy Herndon; great-grandsons, Austin and Spencer Lindstrom; great-granddaughters, Alyssa Blono, Devan Markin and Alivia Lindstrom; stepgreat-granddaughters, Jessica and Jennifer Floming, and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, Ivan E. “Gene” Lindstrom; a brother, and a foster sister.
