Virginia A. Anderson, 89, of Orion died Friday, April 30, 2010 at Genesis Medical Center, Illini Campus, Silvis.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, May 5, 2010 at Swedona Lutheran Church. Burial is in Swedona Lutheran Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Swedona Lutheran Church.
Virginia was born April 6, 1921, in Kentucky, the daughter of Vandorn and Ora Floyd. She married Allen Simmon, and he preceded her in death in 1974. She then married Kenneth B. Anderson, and he preceded her in death in 1989.
Virginia was a member of Swedona Lutheran Church.
Survivors include her son, Donald Simmon, Orion, step-daughters Shirley (Gene) Brown and Judy (Jim) Hancock of Cambridge; grandchildren Chris and Lisa, step-grandchildren Pam (Randy) Ryan, Mike (Michaelene) Brown, Derick Brown; great-grandchildren Jacob and Jasmine, step great-grandchildren Jason (Amanda) Brown, Austin Brown, and Halie Ryan; and a brother Van (Mary) Floyd.
She was preceded in death by her parents, step-daughter, Bonita Lindstrom, and sister Frances Ashdown.
