Zoe B. Stamer, 6, of Orion, daughter of Trenton and Kate (DeVolder) Stamer, died Thursday, Sept. 1, 2011, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, in the arms of her mom and dad, from complications of leukemia.
She was the strongest girl who went into the fight of her life swinging. Sadly, she did not win.
Visitation was held Tuesday, Sept. 6, at Kirk, Huggins and Esterdahl Funeral Home Ltd., Orion.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Zoe’s family for a fund to be established in Zoe’s name through BankORION, Stamer Fund. Please contact Jill Lievens at BankORION.
Zoe was born June 15, 2005, in Davenport
She was a beautiful brown-eyed girl who loved to sing, dance and wear dresses, and she was truly a princess. She knew she was loved.
Zoe was excited about being a first-grader at C.R. Hanna Elementary, Orion, and she loved her teachers and friends.
She liked T-ball, Ariel, tomatoes and baby feet “because they are so tiny.”
She was very excited about the upcoming birth of her new baby sister.
There is so much more to say about, Zoe, but words do her no justice. To know Zoe was to love Zoe. She will be missed by all.
