The seventh and eighth grade girls basketball teams from Orion Middle School will play on Friday, March 12, in the first round of the Prairieland Conference tournament in Knoxville.
The eighth grade tournament will be played in Jensen gym in the high school.
On Friday, the fourth-seeded Orion eighth graders will take on fifth-seeded Monmouth-Roseville at 5:30 p.m., followed by #3 Rockridge and #6 Mercer County.
The Orion-Monmouth-Roseville winner will take on #1 Knoxville in semifinals at 5:30 p.m. Monday, March 15. Whoever survives the Rockridge-Mercer County game will challenge #2 Sherrard at 7 p.m.
On Wednesday, March 17, the championship game will tip off at 7:30 p.m.
Knoxville's junior high gym will host seventh grade games in the first round and semifinals.
Third-seeded Orion will play sixth-seeded Mercer County at 7 p.m. Friday. Fourth-seeded Monmouth-Roseville and fifth-seeded Knoxville play at 5:30 p.m.
Monday's semifinals have the Orion-Mercer County winner running the floor with #2 Rockridge at 7 p.m. Top-seeded Sherrard will play either Monmouth-Roseville and Knoxville.
