The Orion FFA Chapter has received the Illinois Bankers’ Award for having the most comprehensive and best overall program of activities in Section 3. 

The Illinois Bankers Association sponsors the Bankers’ Award, which was presented to the chapter during the 82nd annual Illinois Association FFA Convention from Tuesday, June 8, through Thursday, June 10, at the Prairie Capital Convention Center, Springfield.

Orion FFA also earned the National Chapter Gold Emblem Award, the highest rank a chapter can receive at the state convention.

The Gold Emblem goes to the top FFA chapters for their outstanding program of activities in the past year.

Orion FFA also was the Section 3 winner of the Community Development Award.

Community development, student development and chapter development make up the chapter’s program of activities.

Alliance Pipeline, Inc., sponsors the Community Development awards.

Orion FFA president Amelia Martens was named one of the top 10 chapter presidents in the state.

The award recognized her outstanding performance in the past year.
Illinois Farm Bureau and GROWMARK sponsored the award.
