Charger sophomore Tanner Williams will be competing in the preliminary round of the state slam dunk contest on Thursday, March 11, in Carver Arena at the Peoria Civic Center.
Williams is one of 32 finalists who will be shooting in groups of eight. He is in the fourth group.
The action begins about 6 p.m., following the 3-point shooting contest at 5 p.m.
If Williams advances to the finals, he will be on the floor between semifinals games on Friday, March 12, in Carver Arena. That would be about 1:45 p.m.,
