CAMBRIDGE—Ralph E. Gradert, 84, of rural Cambridge, died Monday, June 23, 2008, at Hammond-Henry Hospital Extended Care Unit, Geneseo.

SILVIS—Thomas Lee Garrity, 87, of Silvis, formerly of Orion, died Tuesday, May 20, 2008, at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City. Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 24, at Orion United Methodist Church. Visitation was from 3:30 to 8 p.m. on Friday, May 23, at Kirk, Huggins & Esterdahl Funeral Home, Ltd, Orion. Interment was in Western Township Cemetery, rural Orion. Military rites were conducted by Orion American Legion Post 255.

TAYLOR RIDGE—    Theresa M. “Terri” Ludwig, 58, of Taylor Ridge died Sunday May 25, 2008, at Trinity Pathway Hospice, Bettendorf.   Services are 10 a.m. Thursday, May 29, at  St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Andalusia, where she was a member. Visitation was 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday, May 28, at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, 201 E. 4th Ave., Milan, with a Christian wake service at 4 p.m. Inurnment will be at a later date at Rock Island National Cemetery, Arsenal Island.

EAST MOLINE—Marjorie E. Curry, 95, of East Moline, died Sunday, May 25, 2008, in Silver Cross Nursing Center, Rock Island.  Services were Wednesday, May 28, in First Presbyterian Church, East Moline, with the Reverend Rebecca Sherwood officiating. Burial was in Rose Lawn Memorial Estate, Moline. Visitation was 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 27, at Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Moline, and one hour before service at the church.

ORION—Joshua “Josey” David Nelson, 37, of Orion died Tuesday, May 13, 2008, on Bainbridge Island, Wash., after a brief illness. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Friday, May 23, at Christ the King Catholic Church, Moline. Burial was at Rock Island National Cemetery, Arsenal Island, where the East Moline American Legion Post No. 227 conducted military honors. Visitation was 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 22, at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline.

COAL VALLEY — John Leonard Buchholz, 89, of Coal Valley, died Friday, May 16, 2008, in Oak Glen Home, Coal Valley.

Visitation will be 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, May 25 at New Hope Baptist Church, Coal Valley. Services will follow visitation with the Reverend Gerald Higdon officiating. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Western Township Cemetery, Orion.
