Janice M. Lees, 80, of Orion went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2010, at Illini Restorative Care, Silvis.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 16, at Beulah Presbyterian Church, Orion. Visitation was 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 15, at Kirk, Huggins & Esterdahl Funeral Home, Ltd., Orion. Burial was at Beulah Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Rural Township. 

Memorials may be made to Beulah Presbyterian Church.

Janice was born May 17, 1929, in Moline to Lewis and Mildred (Chaney) Olson. She married Glenn W. Lees on April 7, 1947, in Kansas City, Mo. He preceded her in death on Jan. 5, 1997.

Janice was a homemaker and helped her husband farm. She enjoyed making breakfast pizza for the former Corner Express, Orion.  

She was a member of Beulah Presbyterian Church, where she sang in the choir.  

She enjoyed sewing, music cooking and baking.  

She was also a World War Mother, a devoted mother and grandmother. 

She is survived by her sons, Tom (Yvonne) Lees of San Carlos, Ariz., Gerald (Jeanine) Lees and Dan (Jennifer) Lees, all of Orion; her grandchildren, Sonya, Nicole, Jeremy, Aron, Addy and Michael; her great- grandchildren, William and Michael; a sister, Elizabeth Seaholm, Moline; and her best friend, Velma Braman.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a granddaughter, Alicia Lees; and a brother, Gene Olson.
