Over the past two months a series of paid political ads has regularly appeared in the local media criticizing the work of the current Henry County Board. The Henry County Republican Central Committee (HCRCC) is responsible for these paid ads.
How did our Board (composed of Democrats and Republicans) respond to these attacks? By continuing to do the job you hired us to do. And doing that job without a lot of fanfare.
As you know managing the budget is the main duty of any county board. Under the current leadership of the Board, our “financial house” remains in excellent order. That’s not my opinion. That’s the opinion of the most recent report of our independent auditors. Check it out for yourself.
We all have been swamped with a deluge of negative, divisive advertising during this election season. It’s comforting to know that you, the voter, have always been able to cut through the morass of misleading advertisements and phony propaganda to make the right choice in the end.
