Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2008.

As you, fellow residents of Henry County, cast your ballots, please remember the following Henry County Board members voted to approve the administration committee’s recommendation to adopt an Intergovernmental Agreement between the Village of Cambridge and Henry County.

This would have allowed the County to work together with the Village of Cambridge to give the county additional parking with minimal disturbance to green space at College Square Park:

A call of the roll by Clerk Link showed ten members voting ‘aye’: J. Crouch, B. Murphy, D. Anderson, K. Nelson, M. Gradert, J. King, R. Nordstrom, T. Steele, A. DeSmith and J. Sovanski.

The eleven members of the Henry County Board who moved ‘Nay’ on the issue were: K. Vail, J. Eccher, J. Hillman, T. Nicholson, P. Ripperger, M. Swanson, M. Weber, J. Kursock, J. May, R. Salisbury and J. Thompson.

This information was obtained from www.henrycty. com/thehenrycountyboard/countyboardminutes/2007/december.html.

Three members were absent from the meeting. They were R. Livesay, R. Grafton and T. Sturtevant.

Please take the time to vote Tuesday.

 Thank you.
