The Tigers managed just three hits, but Sherrard scored three unearned runs to end Geneseo’s comeback hopes.

Colton Garcia doubled and scored the only run for the Maple Leafs, and Zac Olson singled and stole a base.

Geneseo’s Isaiah Rivera pitched well in his first varsity start on the mound.

A sophomore, Rivera completed four innings allowing one run with no hits and five strikeouts.

Geneseo’s Jaren Brucher and Kyle Wise each finished with a single.
