Little League and Peanut League from Wednesday

    Illinois American Water Company and Route 66 Nutrition got offensive in posting Little League victories Wednesday at the Rec-Plex.
IAWC 10, Pontiac Police 3
    IAWC struck for seven runs in the first inning and cruised to a 10-3 win over Pontiac Police. Illinois American Water collected 12 hits in the game.
    The first eight batters for IAWC reached base in the game, including Hayden DuVall’s leadoff double. He had another two-base hit in the inning to cap the scoring.
    DuVall finished with three hits and two runs batted in to help pace the IAWC offense. Brayden Stroh also had three hits and drove in three runs. Shannon Law doubled and drove in a run while Alex McMeen and Owen Stroh each had a hit and RBI. Anderson Horning, Trenton Blackwell and Beau Hamilton each singled.
    Carson Walker had two hits for PPD. Elijah Hartke and Kaden Farrar had one hit each. Jackson Crawford, Kylar Sorensen and Jared Bressner each drove in a run.
    Mason Schlosser started on the bump for IAWC, striking out three before giving way to Horning, who fanned two. DuVall finished up with four strikeouts.
    Walker started for Pontiac Police. Cole Rapp fanned four in relief and Crawford struck out three.
Route 66 Nutrition 16, Precision Application 4
    A seven-run first inning for Route 66 Nutrition gave it a boost en route to a 16-4 win over Precision Application. Route 66 followed up the first with a nine-run second frame.
    Tommy Oestmann’s triple was the big hit in the first inning for Route 66. Nine straight batters reached either by error, walk or base hit to highlight the second frame.
    Oestmann tripled, singled and drove in two runs for Route 66. Zechariah Landstrom and Camden Gillette each had two hits and an RBI. Ethan Reiners had a hit and four RBIs while Carlito Lattin, Cayden Masching and Justin Tovrea drove in two runs apiece and Aiden Wink had one RBI.
    Landstrom struck out six in two innings for Route 66. Masching and Reiners each struck out two in relief. Austin Scott and Chayse Knobbe fanned two for Precision. Trevor McCoy had one punch out.
    Seth Mund had two hits and drove in two runs while McCoy doubled and Drew Lauritsen singled.
Peanut League
    Selig Group posted a 5-0 shut out of Fraher Ford in a Peanut League game Wednesday.
    Selig scored a run in the second inning and added four in the fourth for the win.
    Joshua Hartke homered and doubled to pace the Selig offense. Logan Henry and Ben Melchers each doubled while Noah Davis, Hudson Simmons and Avry Gray each singled.
    Aden Brummel and Cale Christenson each doubled for Fraher Ford. Cody Pinkerton singled.
