Orion High School graduate Susan (Boehm) Randazzo was inducted into North Central College’s Hall of Fame on Saturday, Nov. 12, in Naperville. The College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin chose Boehm as the first-ever volleyball player from NCC to make one of its All-Conference team.
Orion graduate Jena Malmen has received a national award as the top catcher in NJCAA Division II. The National Fastpitch Coaches Association and Diamond Sports announced the award for Malmen on Friday, Aug. 5.
Orion High School graduate Jena Malmen has signed a national letter of intent to play softball for the Big Ten’s Indiana University. During the spring, Malmen had one of the most productive seasons a freshman has ever had at Kirkwood Community College, Cedar Rapids.
