Orion’s Ashley Anderson, Cara Christal, Sophie Maciolek and Megan Miller competed on a cool, rainy day in the IHSA state track meet on Thursday, May 20, in Charleston.
O’Brien Stadium, Eastern Illinois University, is hosting the meet.
In the 800-meter run preliminaries, Anderson finished fifth in her heat. She was clocked at 2 minutes, 26.27 seconds. She did not advance to the finals on Saturday, May 22.
Christal, Maciolek, Miller and Anderson ran the 3200 relay in 10:25.70. They came in sixth in their heat and did not advance.
