MACOMB — Macomb resident John Moon knows exactly what he’d like for his next birthday.
Moon, a WWII veteran and Iwo Jima survivor, turned 102 on April 3. Moon celebrated his birthday during the Easter holiday with family and friends in Naperville, his son David Moon told the Voice.
“He’s still going,” David said. He and several others joined Moon on Friday for an afternoon of bowling at Diggers College Bowl.
When asked what he hoped the next year would bring, Moon said, “365 days of happiness. And lots of bowling.”
