The Galva American Legion is asking for help in setting up the Avenue of Flags for its annual Memorial Day ceremony at the Galva Cemetery on May 27.

Anyone interested in helping should meet at the city shed behind Subway at 6 a.m. The flags will be taken down at 4 p.m.

Here’s the full schedule for the Legion’s Memorial Day events:

May 17 — Veterans grave flags in Bishop Hill Cemetery, 8 a.m.

May 18 — Poppy Day, meet at Legion building, 7:30 a.m.

May 19 — Veterans grave flags in Galva Cemetery, 7 a.m. Meet at south end of cemetery.

May 27 — Set up Avenue of Flags in Galva Cemetery, 6 a.m.

May 27 — Memorial Day service in Bishop Hill, 9 a.m.

May 27 — Memorial

Day service at Galva Cemetery, 10 a.m.

May 27 — Memorial Day service at St. John’s Cemetery, 11 a.m.

May 27 — Memorial Day service at LaFayette Cemetery, 11:30 a.m.
